People in the UK who suffer from excessive sweating can draw hope today from a new
report that proves how effective Australian medical sheepskin can be in keeping a

The sheepskin development is being led by the CSIRO, which has just completed a
nationwide trial to check the results of the original Fremantle research. Both
trials have made use of the so-called Australian Medical Sheepskin (AMS) developed

Medical Sheepskins are prepared from specially selected sheepskins which are
treated according to the Australian Wool Corporation standards for medical
sheepskins. These sheepskins have dense springy wool fibres which help support the
body and allow air flow. This can keep the patient cool in summer and warm in
winter. The sheepskin can absorb up to 30% of its weight in water without feeling
wet.
